Hi, I'm Running for County Executive
MY BACKGROUND
I am a professional City and Regional Planner with 20 years of experience. I received my Masters in City and Regional Planning from Morgan State University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Commerce and Engineering at Drexel University. My career accomplishments include winning tens of millions of dollars in Federal Grant funding for the State of Maryland through strategic planning and positioning of major capital projects. I currently hold two professional certifications, American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and Project Management Professional (PMP). I believe my background and experience are well suited to tackle the current problems that threaten our County's sustainability and future.
PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
Throughout my career, I've focused on balancing growth with the preservation of our community's values. I believe in sustainable development that meets the needs of both residents and businesses. Join me as we work towards a thriving future for Anne Arundel County. One of the things I loved during the course of my career is being able to engage local residents in addressing their comments, and concerns. Some of my proudest moments involved achieving varying degrees of success with incorporating community input.
Personal Life
My wife and I moved to Anne Arundel County shortly before we got married. We then had our first child and purchased our first and only home in Glen Burnie, all within the same year, followed by our second child a few years later.
We have built our lives in Anne Arundel County and feel that it offers one of the best balances of quality of life, cost of living, and regional access.
I am also a musician (Saxophonist) and perform both locally and outside the County. If you ever happen to see me at a local venue, don't hesitate to come over and say hello!
